Description
Trampa Dampa
The Trampa Dampa is a urethane elastomer designed to fit inside the spring of a mountainboard truck. It supports the spring and provides additional resistance during steering.
Each Dampa features a unique design consisting of three connected balls stacked on top of each other, with the middle ball slightly larger than the other two. During steering, the balls compress against one another, providing greater feedback through turns. This stacked design creates a progressive steering feel.
Two Dampas are required per truck.
Steering Adjustment
The Trampa Dampa works alongside the Spring Adjuster, allowing you to fine-tune steering resistance to suit different terrain and riding conditions.
Turning the Spring Adjuster clockwise increases the pre-load tension on the spring and Dampa. Adjustments can be made on the fly, but avoid overtightening, as excessive pressure can eventually cause the Dampa to split.
Rather than applying too much pressure, consider upgrading to a higher-shore Dampa to increase steering firmness and potentially improve performance.
Choosing Your Dampa Shore
Shore refers to the hardness of the rubber. A lower shore rating means a softer Dampa, while a higher rating provides a firmer steering response.
