VESC Repairs
All you need to know about VESC repairs from TRAMPA BOARDS Ltd.
Ensure you have fully read the manual before using any VESC product, as failure to understand the manual and the capacities of each VESC could result in damage to the product, personal property, and injury.
Warranty
YOUR WARRANTY IS VOIDED IF YOU OPEN YOUR VESC
Therefore we don’t recommend troubleshooting an issue yourself; your first point of action, if you have a problem with your VESC, should be to contact us.
All VESCs come with a 2-month warranty from the date of purchase & solely covers any manufacturer’s defects. The warranty will be voided in the case of modifications, insufficient care, wrong assembly, or misuse or abuse.
Please refer to our General Warranty Above.
The Process
Step One – Contact Us either by emailing us at info@trampaboards.com or calling us during our working hours (Mon-Fri 7-4 UTC) on +44 (0)115 841 0006
Step Two – Generally, there will be two outcomes from our contact: we’ll either be able to diagnose the issue remotely, or we’ll need the VESC returned to Trampa HQ, where we’ll diagnose the issue.
Step Three – If the product needs to be sent in, our goods in department will contact you to oragnise the return to Trampa HQ. DO NOT ARRANGE YOUR OWN SHIPPING, we have our own contracts with carriers and will arrange the best return option for you. Whether you are liable for shipping costs will depend on the warrenty status.
Step Four – Upon receiving the VESC, we will conduct our free inspection and conduct a repair if possible.
Step Five – We will contact you to inform you of the repair that has taken place, and if under warranty, we will ship the repaired VESC back. If out of warranty, we will present an invoice for repair, parts, & shipping costs, which, once paid, we will return the product.
In the case a repair is not possible, while under warranty we will ship a replacement device, and if the device is out of warranty, a member of our team will discuss your options with you.
Cost
Regardless of warranty, we will inspect your VESC for free.
Costs of the repairs and parts may vary, please refer to the invoice after our inspection.

Globally renowned high quality motor controller
You will likely have come across VESC™ by now, it is very special in the field of Electronic Speed Controllers so we are very proud that our boards all come as standard with a VESC™ and VESC™ BMS.
VESC6 Mk6 HP – Quite simply a higher powered version of the VESC6 Mk6, with the same trusted reliability and ease of control. Why High Power? Because the mosfets in the HP allow more amps to run through.
VESC6 Mk6 – An incredibly reliable and high performing compact speed controller, used by over 2000 companies in many other applications across the world
VESC 6/75 – If you are using a 16s Battery Pack to power your mountainboard this controller will automatically be selected to handle the higher voltage.
We make battery packs for both Li-Po & Li-Ion cells.
The (S) stands for Series - adding cells in series increases voltage, The (P) stands for Parallel - adding cells in parallel increases capacity.
A higher voltage will take you faster and higher capacity will take you further. See the table below for further comparison:.

Li-Po: These cells are more expensive, however you may consider them worth it because they have less components and therefore provide easy plug and play capability as well as making it possible to do a quick battery swap. Li-Po cells also have a higher discharge performance than the Li-ion packs.
Li-ion: Individual cells means that you have a serviceable battery pack, swapping out only the individual cells should they be damaged. These cell packs require some electrical knowledge.
We suggest that if you have limited electrical knowledge that you choose Li-Po batteries for their ease.
