Description
The Trampa Dampa is a urethane elastomer designed to fit inside the spring of a Trampa Spring Truck. It supports the spring, adds resistance during steering and delivers progressive feedback through turns.
Each Dampa features three connected balls, with a slightly larger middle ball. As you steer, the balls compress against each other to create a progressive steering feel and enhanced feedback.
Key Features
-
Progressive steering: Provides increasing resistance and feedback through turns.
-
Spring support: Fits inside the truck spring to add steering resistance.
-
Adjustable tension: The spring adjuster lets you preload the spring and Dampa to suit different terrain and riding conditions.
-
Sold as a pair: 2 Dampas are required per truck.
Choosing Your Dampa Shore Rating
Shore measures rubber hardness. A lower rating means a softer Dampa, while a higher rating means a firmer Dampa.
Adjusting Your Spring Truck
Turning the spring adjuster clockwise increases preload on the spring and Dampa. This can be adjusted to suit changing terrain and conditions.
Important: Excessive preload can put too much pressure on the Dampa and cause it to split. If you need greater resistance, consider upgrading to a higher shore rating rather than overtightening the spring adjuster.
